WHO and Lions Clubs have agreed to support expanded mental health services in Jordan and Nepal through a partnership running to 2028.
In Jordan, the work includes services in East Amman, connecting counselling with hospital care. In Nepal, planned support includes psychosocial service points at ten district hospitals and a school-focused programme.
The partnership covers mental, neurological and substance-use conditions, alongside efforts to improve awareness and reduce stigma. Its emphasis on local services reflects the need to make support easier to reach and to connect community-level assistance with more specialized care when required.
