A woman who shared a positive reaction to her flight being delayed has received mixed opinions when she posted her thoughts online.
TikTok user Jesse was flying from Lambert-St Louis International Airport in Missouri to Los Angeles International Airport in California on a Southwest Airlines flight when she recorded an empathetic video, in which she explains an announcement said that take off would be delayed as four passengers had yet to board.
Explaining how the flight was delayed for around 20 minutes, she told Newsweek: "The flight attendant made the announcement that the passengers were coming from a slightly delayed plane so we were going to wait so they could board.

They were all out of breath and the flight attendants were so kind and reassuring them we weren't leaving."
Newsweek has contacted southwest Airlines for comment via email.
Posting about it on TikTok, Jesse received a number of mixed responses. She wrote in the text overlay of the video: "They announced we're waiting on four passengers on an incoming flight and honestly? I'm thrilled.
"How sweet for those people! Like, I bet they thought they were going to miss it but we're being sweeties and waiting, I'm so glad!
She told Newsweek: "The comments on my video are so funny because a lot of people were like, oh, [it] must have been first class or crew and it wasn't!
"I've had a plane wait on me and it's just the best feeling especially when it's a late flight and that probably means these passengers won't have to spend the night in some random city.
"It's interesting the divide on human nature but regardless I thought it was amazing that we waited."
Jesse received hundreds of comments on her video with many people having differing opinions.
Emily Wickham wrote: "I was on a flight once that waited for 20-30 passengers whose flight was late because they had a medical emergency and had to land halfway through the flight. People on my flight complained and booed."
Allison commented: "Love this! But what if you have a connection at your next destination and waiting for these people makes you late."
"I support this when it's out of that passengers control but if they planned poorly and thought they could show up 20 mins before take-off I'm like, sorry bye," El wrote.
According to the U.S. Employment Security Commission, between 1 percent and 2 percent of travelers miss their flights.
