A video of a flight attendant demonstrating how to board a plane in a "demure" manner has gone viral on TikTok.
The clip was posted by flight attendant Michael (@flywithhotboymike), and it has amassed more than 2.4 million views since it was shared on August 15. A caption shared with the post reads: "This is how you board a plane the demure way."
The flight attendant is shown rolling a suitcase down the aisle of an empty plane. He says, "You see how I board the plane? I step out of the aisle," as he is shown standing in a space between the rows of seats. Placing the suitcase into the bin, he says: "I take my luggage. I put it up in the overhead bin. I don't ask the flight attendant [to do it].

"I put it into the bin and turn it on its side, so we can get all the space available. Very demure, very mindful, very cutesy," the flight attendant says, flashing a smile, referencing the hilarious viral TikTok trend that has taken the internet by storm.
The cabin crew member's post comes as travel is set to hit "record highs" this year, with global tourism spending projected to reach $2 trillion, according to a December 2023 survey by Euromonitor International, the market research firm.
Total passenger demand in June was reported to be up 9.1 percent, compared with the same month in 2023, according to a July report by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

What Is the 'Very Demure, Very Mindful' Trend?
The trend refers to the use of the terms "very demure" and "very mindful" taking off on social media. A viral video shared by TikTok user Jools Lebron (@joolieannie) earlier this month showed the poster saying: "How to be demure and modest and respectful at the workplace."
In the clip, which has garnered 35 million views since it was posted on August 5, the TikTok poster is shown looking into the camera, saying, "see how I do my makeup for work? Very demure, very mindful...
"I don't look like a clown when I go to work; I don't do too much, I'm very mindful while I'm at work. See how I look very presentable; the way I came to the interview is the way I go to the job," Lebron continues.

Asked what "demure" actually means, Lebron told CBS on Monday: "Your demure is what it means to you. It's being mindful and considerate of the people around you, but also of yourself and how you present to the world."
The viral trend even reached The White House, who referenced the words in a post about student debt on August 16. It was shared after the U.S. Department of Education asked the Supreme Court to lift its block on President Joe Biden's student loan repayment plan.
Sharing a picture of Biden smiling while sitting at a desk, the caption of the post read "Canceling the student debt of nearly 5 million Americans through various actions. Very mindful. Very demure."
