Everyone loves a European summer break, eating gelato by the sea while the sun shines above your head. The only downside is that it can get pretty hot, especially in July and August, which are usually Europe's hottest months.
While on vacation in Italy, a woman from the United Kingdom had to resort to extreme measures to try to escape the scorching heat of the sun, and recorded her efforts in a hilarious video that has left internet viewers in stitches.
In the viral clip, shared on Instagram in July, under the username @tibibi_, the poster can be seen walking through the streets of Rome, trying to stay as close as possible to the wall to soak up as much shadow as possible, while the Italians in the middle of the road are unbothered.
"I love Roma, I love Italy, but it's [triple sweaty face emoji]," reads a caption shared along with the post.

The Climates to Travel website says that the average temperature in the country during the months of July and August is around 86 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit.
The central and southern part of the country sees over 2,500 hours of sunshine per year, while, in the north, the amount of sun is moderate, usually between 1,800 and 2,000 hours.
During the summer in the southern regions, hot winds from Africa can bring periods of intense heat, with highs of 99 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and more.
The rainiest time of the year in Italy is the fall, and floods can sometimes occur in the months of October and November.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across Instagram. It has so far received over 2.3 million views and more than 31,800 likes on the platform.
One user, lelenana_art, commented: "Water to drink, SPF +50, hat, hand fan and umbrella are must."
Jenntorober posted: "One of the most intense heats I've ever felt in late July in Rome."
Tscheibi added: "Use a special [sun] umbrella with UV-protection or a normal one (still better than nothing). Or wear a [hat] and a long sleeve linen or cotton blouse/dress. They do it like this in Asian countries; in Europe we should start this convenient and cheap kind of sun protection, too."
