A video of a unique hotel featuring a spectacular 262-foot-long "river pool" has captivated TikTok users.
On June 9, user @massh393 posted the video of the pool, which has since garnered 1.6 million views. The footage was captured at the Royal River luxury hotel in Tenerife, one of Spain's Canary Islands.
Text overlaid on the clip said, "Your pool is a river," and the video begins with the camera panning across the square edge of a pool overlooked by greenery. The camera moves across the pool and turns left to show a long stretch of turquoise water.

In the video's comments section, the poster clarified that, despite the caption, the water seen in the clip is "just pool water! One big pool." They added that the water was heated.
Newsweek has contacted @massh393 for comment via TikTok. This video has not been independently verified.
The setting in the viral clip appears to be one of the hotel's River Villas, each of which comes with a private pool and is connected to an "80-meter river pool surrounded by vegetation," the hotel's website said.
"These gorgeous villas offer the chance for you to swim out from your private pool and navigate the connecting river," it continued.
In 2024, travel is set to hit "record highs," with global tourism spending projected to reach $2 trillion, driven by leisure demand, according to a December 2023 survey by Euromonitor International, a market research firm.
The U.S. hotel occupancy is projected to reach 63.6 percent this year, just shy of the 65.8 percent reported in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic, marking "a significant improvement" over 2020's historic low of 43.8 percent, the American Hotel and Lodging Association said in its 2024 State of the Industry report.
'Absolutely Breathtaking'
The TikTok video shows a woman walking down the length of the pool with her head above water, and guests will be glad to know "there are no bugs [or] fish (or crocodiles)," despite the concerns raised by TikTok users who thought the pool was an actual river.
"When you make it to the end ... there's a jacuzzi," said text overlaid on the video, as the footage showed water bubbling under a pillared gazebo structure.
TikTok users were blown away by the hotel pool, with one writing, "I can imagine it being very expensive but it does look absolutely breathtaking."
Another added: "I would want to dive under to find the secret passageway. Tomb Raider vibes!" A commenter agreed, saying, "This is giving me tomb raider vibes."
"Obv [obviously] not quite natural but this is PURE bliss. You're so lucky," a user said.
Another wrote, "So pretty, but I'd go into cardiac arrest imagining an animal of some kind in the water."
