A park space in Utah filled entirely with "tiny homes" has captivated users on TikTok. The tiny home park, located on 1286e Cactus Drive in Apple Valley, a town in southern Utah, consists of 40 tiny homes on a five-acre plot of land, according to a viral video shared by Zions Tiny Homes (@zionstinyhomes), the licensed RV manufacturer that built these tiny homes. The clip, which shows two rows of tiny homes along a pavement, has garnered 3.7 million views since it was shared on July 1. Autumn McGregor, the founder of Zions Tiny Homes, told Newsweek: "This is a beautiful location close to Zion National Park and Kanab, Utah. It has an amazing view and no light pollution." McGregor, who was named the 2024 Small Business Person of the Year for Utah, is also the founder of Zions Tiny Getaway, "which helps individuals rent out their tiny homes" as nightly rental properties. Tiny homes typically measure around 100 to 400 square feet and have been a popular option for those wanting to downsize their living space and costs as well as reduce their environmental impact. According to a 2018 survey by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), just over half of Americans (53 percent) would consider living in a home that is 600 square feet or smaller. In a March 2021 report by the NAHB, more than one in 10 (12 percent) said they'd prefer a smaller home following the COVID-19 pandemic.

'This a Dream'

Zions Tiny Homes has a goal for one out of every five tiny homes built to be donated to a non-profit. "We are building our first donated home this year and are donating to homes to a non-profit located in Florida called Project Empath. We launched this goal three months ago and are on our way to donate four homes this year," McGregor told Newsweek. Each of the tiny homes on offer from the park in the viral clip can accommodate anywhere from two to eight people. Some homes come with rooftop decks and private hot tubs, the founder said. Those who purchase a tiny home built by Zions Tiny Homes can rent it out via the Zions Tiny Getaway website. "We do have two tiny homes for sale right now for owners to rent out nightly Zions Tiny Getaway will manage it for a passive income," the founder explained. The starting price of a tiny home ranges from $65,000 to $105,000, depending on the size home. The nightly rental price ranges from $85 per night to $170 per night, depending on the day and season, according to McGregor. Each home is individually owned and Zions Tiny Getaway manages the nightly rentals for the family that owns the home. "This is a first-time investment for several families. Even a single mother purchasing one with her tax return now has extra income for her family," the founder noted. Users on TikTok adored the tiny home park in the viral clip. Joyce simply said, "Amazing" and buffalo1968 wrote, "Love this." "My dream is to own a tiny home park. With a pool, gym, small store, large area for events and concerts, park for the kids and so on. Already have the layout design," said @halwe11. Pua-kiele Palakiko noted: "This is a dream! Own land and do a tiny home community! Especially back at home in Hawaii island."
