A video of a man's reaction to having two beds in a hotel room he's sharing with his girlfriend has gone viral on TikTok.
The clip was posted by @ylilnoon and has received 1.6 million views since it was first shared on April 21. A message overlaid on the video reads: "When there are 2 beds after travelling together for 4 weeks."
The footage shows a man entering what appears to be a hotel room, which has two separate beds. He is seen jumping up and down with his arms in the air, mouthing "yes" to the camera. The video later shows a woman frowning while pointing a mobile phone at a mirror before the clip ends.

A caption shared with the post reads: "One of us is happy about this arrangement. #boyfriendgirlfriend #traveldrama #overseastravel."
While the man's reaction to the separate beds might have been disappointing for the woman, sleeping separately can have its benefits.
In a January 2023 survey of 1,250 adults in the U.S. who shared a bed with at least one other person in the previous year, 1.4 percent of respondents who had a "sleep divorce" (slept separately from their partner) maintained it in the past year.

The survey also found that 25.7 percent of couples who slept separately ended up sharing a bed again. Those who recoupled slept 10 minutes more now than when they slept separately. Just over a third (34.9 percent) of those who recoupled at bedtime said they did so because they missed each other, the survey found.
