Woman Reveals How Her 'Aviation Boyfriend' Takes Flying to the Next Level

TikTok users reacted to a woman's boyfriend doing something on a flight that many people found relatable.

A woman shared the hilarious moment she noticed her "aviation boyfriend" taking things to the next level while they were sitting together on a flight. TikTok user Aoibhin Connolly shared a clip of her partner looking at his phone watching a livestream of the flight they were on landing, seeing how it looks from the outside in real-time. In the video, which has received 1.5 million views since it was first shared by Connolly on January 14, she looks amused as she watches her boyfriend watching the flight landing. "Oh girls my aviation boyfriend has progressed from Flight Radar and now watches the airport livestream of our flight landing," she wrote in the text overlay of the clip. In the caption of the post, she added: "And judges the pilot's landing might I add." Flight Radar is a popular website that allows smartphone users to track flights around the world. The app has been downloaded on the Google Play Store more than 50 million times, proving that tracking flights is of interest to a huge number of people across the globe. Connolly's video has received hundreds of comments from people sharing their reactions and similar experiences. One user, Shank Sinatra, commented: "Whatever you do, don't tell him about Sky Cards," referring to an app developed by Flight Radar that allows players to "capture" real flights that are in the air at the time. Another, Alex, wrote: "Wait until he finds Flighty," the name of an app that offers real-time data on flights around the world. Laur shared: "How do you do this? Asking for a friend (me, I'm the plane obsessed friend)."

"Wait until he takes you to a field near Heathrow to watch A380s land," said Pipp Loughran. Bo commented: "My mum is a flight attendant and every time there's a storm and she's working I always watch it on Big Jet TV." Nank said: "On my flight to Hong Kong on Monday I just watched our flight map then gossiped with the FAs [flight attendants] in the forward galley about how we were deviating further east than I'd anticipated." Even Virgin Australia's official TikTok account joined in on the fun, commenting: "This is another level of 'he's the one'."
